ShiftMySite Add to Chrome
Shopify ⇄ WooCommerce migration

Move your products between Shopify and WooCommerce

Scan a live store or upload a product export, review everything in one table, and download import-ready CSVs with variations, prices, stock and collections intact.

Paste a Shopify or WooCommerce store, or a store on another platform such as Wix, Squarespace or BigCommerce. The platform is detected automatically.

ShiftMySite runs as a free Chrome extension

Add it to Chrome, click its icon in the toolbar and paste the store you want to copy. Sign-up takes under a minute.

Add to Chrome, it's free

New on the Chrome Web Store: if Chrome shows "Proceed with caution", click Continue to install. Chrome shows this for new publishers to people who use Enhanced Safe Browsing.

How it works

From store to import file in three steps

  1. 1

    Scan or upload

Paste a store address, or upload a Shopify, WooCommerce or Matrixify product export. Products, variants, prices and images are read in seconds.

  2. 2

    Review

Check every product in one table: status, prices, stock, options and collections. Expand a product to see each variation, and untick anything you don't need.

  3. 3

    Download & import

Download everything at once or one collection at a time, then import the CSV under Products → Import in WooCommerce or Shopify.

Features

Everything a store migration needs

Scrape any store

Shopify and WooCommerce stores are detected automatically. Scan a whole store or a single collection page.

CSV in, CSV out

Convert Shopify, Matrixify and WooCommerce exports in either direction, including drafts, stock, weights, barcodes and SEO fields.

Real variations

Shopify options and WooCommerce attributes (Size, Color…) map both ways, with one variant per combination and its own price, SKU and stock.

Collections ⇄ categories

Shopify collections become WooCommerce categories; WooCommerce categories become Shopify tags and product types. Each product is exported once.

Prices done right

Sale and compare-at prices, European number formats, stock quantities, backorders and weights converted to your store's unit.

Review before export

A searchable table with every column, pinned headers and expandable variations, so you can check the data before importing it.

Publish or draft

Keep each product's original status, or import everything as published or as drafts, from one dropdown.

Private by design

Everything runs inside the extension in your browser. Your product data and files are never uploaded to any server.

Chrome extension

Get the ShiftMySite extension for Chrome

ShiftMySite works through its Chrome extension. Install it once and every scan runs from your own browser.

  • Scans stores that block websites. It reads products straight from your own browser, so stores that turn away cloud servers still work.
  • Nothing passes through our servers. Store pages go directly from the store to you.
  • One click from your toolbar. Opens in its own tab and keeps your recent scans.

FAQ

Common questions

Can I move from Wix, Squarespace, BigCommerce or another platform?

Yes. For stores that aren't Shopify or WooCommerce, ShiftMySite finds the product pages through the store's sitemap and reads the product details the store publishes for Google: title, price, images, SKU, brand, description and stock. Variations come across when the store lists them in that data; some platforms list only one price per product, so check variations before importing. It works for your own store and for stores whose content you have the right to use.

Is ShiftMySite free?

Yes. The Free plan includes every feature, with up to 25 products per export, so you can test it on real stores. Pro ($9.99/month, cancel any time) removes the limit and is part of the Chrome extension. Payments are handled by ExtensionPay and Stripe.

My products imported, but they have no variations or prices. Why?

WooCommerce creates variations from the variation rows in the CSV. If those rows are rejected, you only get the attribute list. The usual causes are leftovers from an earlier import (delete the products and empty the Trash first) or importing with "Update existing products" ticked. Check View import log on the import results page for the exact reason.

How do I keep my old links and Google rankings?

After loading your products, click Download redirect file in the sidebar. It lists every product's old address and its new one, plus each category and its collection. For Shopify, import it under URL redirects in the Shopify admin (Online Store → Navigation, or search the admin for "URL redirects") → Import. For WooCommerce, install the free Redirection plugin, then go to Tools → Redirection → Import/Export and import the file. Do this once the products are imported and the domain points to the new store.

Should I tick "Update existing products" when importing?

No, not for a first import. With it ticked, WooCommerce only updates products that already exist and skips new variations. Use it only to update products that were imported before.

A product is in several collections. Will it be imported twice?

No. Each product is placed in exactly one download (the largest collection it belongs to), and its row lists all its collections as categories. "Download all" gives you every product once, in one file.

Which weight unit should I choose?

The one set in WooCommerce → Settings → Products → Weight unit. Weights are converted to that unit so the import maps the column automatically.

Why did a scan find no products?

The store hides its products from public access or has no published products. For your own store, export the products from the Shopify or WooCommerce admin and use "Upload CSV" instead.

Can I scan a password-protected Shopify store?

Yes, if you know its storefront password, with the Chrome extension. When a scan finds the password page, a password box appears under the address bar. Enter the password and click Scan again. The password is only sent to that store's own password page and isn't saved.

How do WooCommerce categories appear in Shopify?

Shopify's product CSV can't put products into collections. Each WooCommerce category becomes a Shopify tag, and the first category becomes the product type. In Shopify, create automated collections with the condition "Product tag is equal to …" and the products fill them automatically. After loading your products, click Create collections in Shopify in the sidebar for the exact list of tags to use.

Is my data sent anywhere?

Your products and files aren't. The extension reads stores directly from your browser, and conversion and CSV creation happen there too. We keep a record of the store addresses you scan; see the privacy policy.

Can I use ShiftMySite without the extension?

No. Scanning and converting happen in the Chrome extension, which reads stores straight from your browser, so it also works on stores that block website-based scanners. Get the extension.

Create your collections in Shopify

Every category in your export is a tag on its products. An automated collection that matches the tag fills itself, and products you add later with that tag join it on their own.

  1. Import the product CSV in Shopify first (Products → Import).
  2. Go to Products → Collections → Create collection.
  3. Enter the collection's title, choose Automated, and set the condition Product tag · is equal to · the tag below. Save.
  4. Repeat for each tag in the list.
